Have you ever been in a situation where things aren't going the way you planned it? And all you can feel is frustration, worry and fear that in the end, you'll be a failure?

If yes, then I can totally relate. I've been there. It happened to me a lot of times already. Believe me, i'm someone who have a habit of sticking to plans. And imagine the disappointment and discouragement I would feel when things get out of control? The feeling is unimaginably worst.

But at the end of the day, I would try to reflect and ask myself, "Is it really a failure?"

Often times when things get out of control , we tend to worry and fear about what would happen next. But God said in Jeremiah 29:11:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Sometimes, rejections and failed plans is God's way of redirecting our life to His original perfect plan for us--- plans to prosper us and not harm us.

Simply put, we're not in control of anything. And when our plans fail, it's either God has a better plan for us or He's teaching us a life-changing principle or a valuable lesson.

As stated in Proverbs 19:22, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

I'm not saying that you should stop making plans rather, i'm encouraging you to:
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."
-Proverbs 16:3

Proverbs 3:5-6 also teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct our paths.

Going back to the question if it is a failure if things get out of control, at first, it would seem like it. But Romans 8:28 taught us that all things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are called according to His purpose. Failed plans is part of God's perfect plan.

When things get out of control, remember that the God who created everything with a purpose which includes you, had things in control. All you have to do is put your trust in Him and commit your plans to Him. God's got you!

And may Isaiah 41:10 comfort you when things aren't going how you planned it as much as it comforts me and has been my constant reminder when in the same situation. God says: "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
